Pitch
Soul Witches is a Mobile F2P Tactical game. It is the first project made in two months during my Game Design Bachelor’s third year. The game has been showcased during ISART Digital Paris’ Open Day. The development team was composed of Game Designers, Game Design Programmers, Game Artists, and Sound Designers.
Face the Inquisition, Use their Souls, Play with it!
Roles during Development
Design
– Game Concept & Documentation
• Brainstorming
• Producing a One Page Document referencing Project Title, Unique Selling Point, Key Selling Points, Main Feature, Pitch/Tagline and Fake Screenshot
• Document all of our work under a wiki
– First Time User Experience (Intentions, Level Design)
• Designing the levels in Excel (as the map contains cells, this was the simplest option during the start of the production)
• Defining the intentions behind each FTUE’s level: what do we teach, how do the players learn it, how long the learning process must take
• Writing the FTUE pop-up texts explaining the features
– Power-Ups (Drinks) Concept & Balancing
• Defining the rules for the use of the power-ups
• Brainstorming effects’ ideas
• Balancing the selected effects
Other tasks
• Design Team’s Speaker: presenting our work to teachers & other teams
• Listing all sounds and music needed for the game in collaboration with Sound Designers
• Organization and coordination of playtests, collection and synthesis of the results
• QA Testing
