Hobbies & Interests

Sports

As I grew up in a city ranked in French Handball’s First Division, I’ve been playing it at school almost every year between 2010 and 2017.

I’ve also practiced Judo between 2007 and 2011 until my Orange-Green belt.

From 2013 to 2021, I’ve been into hip-hop dancing. My practise was often fractured in different more active periods of times as I often had to focus on my studies. I’ve had classes with two groups and been a member of a couple dance crews. I’ve also participated in several dance battles and live performances. This experience in dancing was particularly useful during my experience on Just Dance at Ubisoft Paris.

Since my high school’s graduation, I’ve been doing cross-training, running, cycling and working out occasionally as I want to keep good health and cardio.
I’ve completed my first Half-Marathon in Paris in September 2021.

Arts

Cinema

I’ve also developed an interest for Cinema growing up and have a few people from my family & friends circle working in this industry, pushing me to create an appetite for this art form. As Letterboxd rose in popularity, I created mine in 2020 and started logging (and then reviewing) the movies I watched. Here’s a link to my profile and here are 6 of my favorite movies, sorted by alphabetical order:

Beasts Clawing at Straws by Kim Yong-hoon, The Farewell by Lulu Wang, Gagarine by Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh, Isle of Dogs by Wes Anderson, Sorry To Bother You by Boots Riley and Uncut Gems by Joshua Safdie and Benny Safdie.

Music

I tend to have an extended interest in Music. As dancing is one of my passion, I obviously listen to a lot of music. My favorite genres are Hip-hop, R&B, Soul, Pop and Funk. I also occasionally listen to Electro, Alternative and Indie.

My favorite albums of 2024 were, in no particular order:

TIMELESS by Kaytranada, Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat by Charli XCX, HEIS by Rema, HIT ME HARD AND SOFT by Billie Eilish, GNX by Kendrick Lamar, Petrichor by 070 Shake, Alligator Bites Never Heal by Doechii, Head Rush by Channel Tres, God Said No by Omar Apollo and 1-800 FANTASY by BLK ODYSSY.

I’ve also been working on music recommendations and concerts reviews both on my TikTok my personal TikTok account as well as for the online zine Tonitruale. Since I’ve started, I have now produced around 200 videos amassing about 192,000 views and covered one concert with an accreditation.

You can find below the Spotify Playlist for my most popular playlist promoting indie music: Lesser-Known Musical Gems.

Art Session

From September 2023 to June 2024, I’ve been part of the Centre Pompidou’s Art Session collective. This initiative has existed since 2008, and recruits yearly a new group of young adults interested in Art mediation.
Our missions were to learn about that subject, meet the various Pompidou workers and employees, as well as the exhibits’ artists and curators and help building a bridge between marginalized communities and Art.
We also organized and participated in workshops and events which took place inside the Centre Pompidou.

Loisirs Numériques

Around the end of 2018, I became a member of the non-profit organization Loisirs Numériques, and have been an active member for about two years.

Loisirs Numériques created different events and initiatives, such as the Bourse Jeux Vidéo that raises funds to provide scholarships to students with financial difficulties, the Covideogames, a livestream that raised funds for Doctors Without Borders, in order to help against the Covid-19 pandemic, or our most well-known event, the French version of the Desert Bus For Hope.

This particular project is one that I’ve spent quite a bit of time on, as I’ve participated in both 2019 and 2020 editions. The Desert Bus For Hope is a 60-hours charity livestream during which guests and hosts talk and have fun while playing the most boring game of all time: the Desert Bus. The funds we raise during the event goes to Les Petits Princes, a charity that make dreams come true for kids with health issues.
